We’ve been getting a lot of questions about framing lately, so we thought we’d put together some resources to help you in this process and give you some inspiration in framing your investment!
Fine Art Reproductions:
Our Fine Art Reproductions are printed on 100% Archival Cotton by a local printer here in Greenville, SC. Each print is taken back to the studio for color approval. Then hand cut and signed by Brooke.
Framing Your Artwork:
We recommend framing our prints in a larger frame so that you can include at least a 2″ matte. The matte gives the artwork and colors breathing room and increases the visual impact of the piece!
We recommend keeping the white border on the print so that you have room to adjust within the frame of the matte. If you choose to frame without a matte, simply trim the white border off.
Matte VS. No Matte
Another option, is to frame the print on the front side of the matte, rather than underneath the matte. This will allow you to float the print and give you a modern look and feel.
Underneath VS. On Top
Choosing a Frame:
Your framing choice should reflect your personal aesthetic and style while keeping in mind that the frame you choose is going to influence the way the artwork looks. Reference below for framing inspiration!
